四川大學匹茲堡學院是由四川大學與美國匹茲堡大學（美國新聞與世界報道2024年全球大學排名第45位）合作成立的中外聯合學院，是兩所享有國際聲譽的中美名校強強聯合進行國際化辦學的新模式，是教育部于2014年正式批準的中美頂尖研究型大學合作機構。學院引入國際一流大學的辦學理念、abet認證的課程體系、全球公開招聘的師資及優質教育資源，融合兩校的學術及教育優勢，采用全英語授課方式，目前開設計算機科學與技術、電子信息工程、工業工程、機械設計制造及其自動化、材料科學與工程五個本科專業。

sichuanuniversity- pittsburgh institute (scupi) is an academic entity jointly established bysichuanuniversityand theuniversityofpittsburgh. approved bychina’s ministry of education in 2014, scupi is one of the large-scale partnerships between a topusuniversity and a top-rate chinese university. scupi now enrolls around 1025 undergraduate students in five majors, including computer science, electrical and computer engineering, industrial engineering, materials science and engineering, and mechanical engineering. the technical curricula of scupi comply fully with those taught at the swanson school of engineering (ssoe) and theschoolofcomputingand information (sci) of theuniversityofpittsburgh. scupi will continue to grow in size and discipline.
