　　一、本系介紹

　　南京大學數(shù)學系建于1921年，是國內第一個現(xiàn)代數(shù)學系，首任系主任是熊慶來教授，歷經國立東南大學、國立中央大學時期，建國后更名為南京大學數(shù)學系。

　　南京大學數(shù)學系自成立以來，在國內外享有盛譽。我系一直強調高質量的人才培養(yǎng)和科學研究，對中國高等教育的貢獻受到高度認可，產生的深遠影響涉及多個數(shù)學研究領域，包括動力系統(tǒng)、數(shù)論、K-理論和同調代數(shù)、微分方程、科學計算、運籌學與優(yōu)化、數(shù)理邏輯等。

　　我系重視教師的培養(yǎng)，并致力于營造輕松和諧的氛圍。近幾年來，多名教師獲國家級獎項，包括國家自然科學獎、數(shù)學前沿獎等;幾乎所有成員都是中國自然科學基金項目的主要研究者。

　　二、招聘崗位設置

　　南京大學數(shù)學系熱烈歡迎有志于從事數(shù)學各研究方向的優(yōu)秀青年人才前來工作。本次擬面向全球招聘4名準聘崗助理教授，招聘的研究方向包括但不限于：

　　(1)代數(shù)與數(shù)論

　　(2)動力系統(tǒng)與方程

　　(3)分析及其應用

　　(4)*幾何與拓撲

　　(5)*數(shù)理邏輯與組合

　　(6)*計算與優(yōu)化

　　Tenure-track Positions Available in the Department of Mathematics, Nanjing University, China

　　Description

　　The Department of Mathematics at Nanjing University, China solicits applicants for four tenure-track positions at assistant professor level. The minimum requirement is Ph.D. degree in any field of pure and applied mathematics. The following directions should be primarily considered, in particular, those marked with *:

　　(1) Algebra and Number theory

　　(2) Differential equations and Dynamical system

　　(3) Analysis or Applied analysis

　　(4) *Geometry and Topology

　　(5) *Mathematical Logic and Combinatorics

　　(6) *Scientific computation and Optimizations

　　(7) *Probability and Statistics

　　Nanjing University is one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in China. The Department of Mathematics, founded in 1921. has built up a high reputation around the world and has been highly recognized for its outstanding contribution to the higher education and its enormous influences in many areas of mathematical researches.

　　The organization of faculty members in the department is relatively relaxing and of harmonious atmosphere. Many national level awards have been granted to the faculty members recently, such as the Second National Prize of Natural Sciences, Morningside Medals of Mathematics, etc., and almost all members are Principal Investigators of one or more projects of the Natural Science Foundation of China. The senior members enhance the reputation of Department, but Department provides the considerably concerns and supports to junior members.
